Hi everyone, first of all I want to say thank you for anyone who has stuck around even though I have not been present on this blog this past year. 2018 was a whirlwind for me, I was working hard on losing weight and trying to adopt healthier habits some of which I have kept most of which… well you know how that goes ( #newyearnewme ) almost never works. I have however successfully lost and kept off 38 lbs by following a mainly Ketogenic Diet I will post about this soon and give you some more information about how I found success and what worked for me coming up this year.
I am working on 2019 Goal Setting and becoming very intentional with my year since as we get older they seem to fly by. Some of this includes keeping up with this blog and writing more, working on having a cleaner more real food approach to diet, starting a fitness routine and clearing out the clutter in my life! I got my new planner for the year and decided that monthly I would add a vision board page to help focus my efforts and intentions and I will add those here monthly and chat with you a little about them!
My first book of the year, I am currently listening to Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover and working on Budget setting and reducing Debt and the weight and stress of that on our lives as well. I have determined that 2019 will be our year to thrive in our family and want to share all these successes with you as well.
Starting the year off with my second annual #JanuaryWhole30 I am going to keep a journal of this process and share that with you as well. It is an amazing reset and this is the best time of year to incorporate that into your life. There is a HUGE community of support on Instagram as well as some amazing Influencers that join the movement each year so you can get loaded with new delicious recipes daily. The one thing I will say about it is that it is not easy and you have to be in the right mindset for it, I tried a second round last summer and failed miserably. How I should have started this round was by drinking tea and getting to bed early last night ready to take on Jan 2 2019 and Day 1. How I did start was by having a cocktail last night to kiss them goodbye for 30 days as well as some cheese. (I didn’t say I was smart I said I was doing it people!)
I would love for you to follow along with me in my journey and share your thoughts along the way. 2019 we got this!
